I went for a run. A beautiful run.
Through this time, the Lord started revealing and speaking.
It was a pivotal moment of realizing that it was a new day. It was a new surrendering. A new trust of moving forward into what is to come.
I started off on my usual trek on the same street at the same time. Dusk has been a favorite time for me to run. The beauty of the sun setting amongst the Colorado mountains is amazing to see.
Within the first few minutes, I slipped and fell… HARD. I skid not only my knee, but part of my elbow and a chunk of skin came out of my hand. Glorious, I know. Well, I winced and got back up and continued to run. As I got up to continue running, the Holy Spirit brought this verse to remembrance.
1 John 4:4
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
I got back up and continued to run even though the throbbing of my hand was undeniable. I was still going to do my usual path that would end once I got to the street without lights, which I would then turn around. You see, when you run at night, it’s of course dark and you have to rely on the lights that are lit on the street to really see where you are going. Once I saw that dark street in the distance, I thought to myself, “What am I so afraid of? Why do I not run past that ONE street?” I could see that way ahead lights were turned on. It was just those few blocks. So of course, I decided that this time, I would run through it. So as not only a physical act, but a prophetic act, I started to run, fast and hard through the street that had no lights. And guess what?! I made it through. I got to the other side. I realized that my perspective was off. The same power that rose Jesus from the dead was now living inside of me! What was I so afraid of? I had victory! I was so happy and continued running forward. By the time I turned around and got back, I realized that the street with no lights didn’t even bother me on the way back. I ran back through it without thinking twice!
What exactly changed you ask? Well, realizing that I had the Holy Spirit. That I could rest in His finished work on the cross and that I didn’t need to be afraid. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.
How many times have you allowed the fear of man, circumstances, really anything push you out of the will of God or stall you from moving into all that He has called you to?
Daughter of God, don’t listen to those other voices. Listen to the Holy Spirit. He will guide you and lead you into truth. The more steeped in God’s presence you are, the more you will recognize His voice. Remember, you are a child of the most High God and you are fearfully and wonderfully made. You do hear His voice and He is calling out to you to go deeper. Deeper than you have ever gone before. Deeper into the depths of the sea, all for His glory. No more listening to those other voices. Allow the Lord to whisper those promises to you. He is for you.
John 10:27
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
I declare over you today that you WILL build, you WILL move forward and you WILL step out and do everything the Lord has called you to in this season. No weapon formed against you shall prosper and every tongue that rises up against you shall be condemned. You are a mighty warrior of the Lord and now is your time to rise up, and take your stand for the highest King. King Jesus. The enemy has been defeated and the war has already been won. Now get it after it!
Isaiah 60:1-5
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.
“Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the hip. Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.
