It is so interesting to see how time flies. How the world just goes too and fro. People walk and people dance. People shop, look at their computers, check Facebook, work in cubicles, drive to their appointed destinations, read books, and more. What is it all for? Could it be that we were made for more than just ourselves? Could it be that maybe, just maybe, we were made to glorify the one who made it all? How could it be that we were here for the hamster wheel? The cars, the toys, the houses, it all just seems so frivolous. So empty and yet, He loves us. The one who made it all, loves us, created us and wants nothing more than to draw us to Him. Why you ask? Because He wants to love us. Like a woman yearning to become a mother. Why else does she want to have children? Because she desires to love it. To take care of that tiny human, cherish it and call it her own. At the end of the day, it is all about love and it is all about Christ, who came down because of that love of the Father. The One who created it all. It is so amazing and so wondrous. We can play in our heads what this is all for, and get down and out, depressed and saddened. But the whole point of it all is love. Love for the one who came down and risked it all. Waiting with open arms as He draws us in. Waiting for the day where all prophecy will be fulfilled. He will come back reigning in all His power and might.
So with all that knowledge. What are we to do? Watch and sit? Watch and see if the passerby’s will notice the glimmer of hope in our eyes? OR do we go out and talk about it? Go out and show it? Go out and proclaim that the Lord is good, and that He does loves us and He desires our good. We were never meant to understand it all. But what we do know is that love covers a multitude of sins. His mercy endures forever and it is a beautiful thing.
Thank you Lord for your mercy and your love. Thank you for dying on the cross for us. We didn’t deserve it or earn it, but you did it anyway. We will forever praise you and be thankful for your love and kindness towards us. Thank you for your compassion.
This isn’t a dry religion or a powerless one, this is a way of life. It is drawing our lives closer and closer to you all of our days. Forever and ever.
